Bergvall returns to the lineup: Predicted Tottenham Hotspur XI vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

How Lucas Bergvall rose from the bench to becoming one of Tottenham’s most relied-upon options in just a few months – The Athletic

Tottenham Hotspur, currently battling to avoid relegation, face already-relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on matchday 34 of the Premier League, with crucial points on the line in their fight for survival.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side showed encouraging signs in their 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. As they head into what appears to be their most winnable remaining fixture on paper, here is how they could line up.

Goalkeeper
Antonin Kinsky has established himself as Roberto De Zerbi’s first-choice goalkeeper and is expected to keep his place ahead of Guglielmo Vicario.

Defenders
Pedro Porro, who found the net last weekend, is likely to continue at right-back, while Destiny Udogie should retain his role on the left. With Cristian Romero unavailable, Kevin Danso is expected to partner Micky van de Ven, keeping the defensive line unchanged.

Midfielders
Rodrigo Bentancur could make way for Lucas Bergvall after the Swede impressed off the bench in the previous match. Conor Gallagher and Yves Bissouma are both expected to remain in midfield, offering energy and physical presence.

Forwards
Randal Kolo Muani, despite playing under an hour last time out, is set to keep his place and may operate from the right wing. Xavi Simons, who registered a goal and an assist, is likely to feature on the left. Dominic Solanke is expected to lead the attack as the central striker.

Predicted XI (Tottenham Hotspur):
Kinsky; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Udogie; Gallagher, Bissouma, Bergvall; Kolo Muani, Solanke, Simons
