Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham are dreaming of signing a Premier League superstar for Thomas Frank.

Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers, with Fabrizio Romano confirming that the north London club still view the England international as a long-term target.

Spurs attempted to sign Rogers last summer but were unable to progress with a deal, and he continues to be regarded internally as a “dream” signing. However, competition for the 23-year-old is growing ahead of the upcoming transfer window. Chelsea are closely monitoring his situation and reportedly rate him as one of the most gifted wingers in the Premier League.

Aston Villa are expected to be in a strong negotiating position after Rogers signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract in November. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano explained that Villa will try to fend off interest, though a significant offer could still change the situation. He also noted that other clubs, including Arsenal, could yet enter the race.

Rogers has been one of Villa’s standout performers this season, scoring 10 goals and registering seven assists in 35 appearances across all competitions. In the Premier League alone, he has 13 goal contributions, placing him joint-fourth overall, behind only Erling Haaland, Bruno Fernandes and Igor Thiago.

He was on the scoresheet again at the weekend, netting Villa’s only goal in a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth as Unai Emery’s side continued a difficult run of form.

Liverpool have also been linked with a potential move for Rogers, with reports suggesting the Reds are considering attacking reinforcements under Arne Slot. Despite his valuation rising beyond £100m following his new contract, interest has not cooled.

Rogers’ international profile could grow further after the season, with the winger pushing for a starting role in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad. He has earned 12 senior caps so far and scored his first international goal in a 3-0 friendly win over Wales in October.
