Tottenham have now been made aware of the terms required to complete the deal, and they fit well with Spurs’ plans.
Pervis Estupiñán’s spell at AC Milan could already be nearing its end after a challenging few months following his move from Brighton, potentially making Tottenham’s pursuit relatively simple.
The Ecuadorian has featured just 16 times in Serie A this season, playing fewer than 1,000 minutes. At times, youngster Davide Bartesaghi has been preferred, with Estupiñán struggling to find consistency.
Defensive errors have been a recurring issue, including a costly one against Lazio earlier this month. This came shortly after his standout goal against Inter Milan, which ultimately failed to spark a turnaround in form.
Reports previously highlighted Tottenham’s interest in the left-back, noting that initial enquiries had been made, though any move could depend on Roberto De Zerbi’s possible arrival. Spurs have now also been informed of the conditions required to push a deal forward.
AC Milan are keen to avoid making a loss on the player. Having paid €17m plus €2m in bonuses during the summer, they are now seeking around €14m for his sale. This valuation would help them recoup most of their investment and reinvest in a replacement.
According to reports, this is the figure Milan are expected to demand if Tottenham step up their interest. The asking price is not considered excessive, which could make negotiations relatively straightforward for Spurs.
