David Lynch reports that Liverpool F.C. are eager to sign Michael Olise from Bayern Munich as they plan for a future without Mohamed Salah.
Olise has elevated his performances since moving to the Bundesliga. Several English clubs continue to monitor his progress, with many keen on bringing him back to the Premier League. According to Lynch, via TEAMtalk, Liverpool are among those strongly interested in the former Crystal Palace F.C. standout.
The French international built a strong reputation during his time at Crystal Palace. Numerous top English sides pursued him in the summer of 2024, but Bayern Munich ultimately secured his signature with a €60 million (£50m) bid.
Since arriving in Germany, the 24-year-old has gone from strength to strength, recording 13 goals and 25 assists in 35 appearances this season. Liverpool have tracked him for years and view him as an ideal long-term successor to Salah, whose future at Anfield remains uncertain. However, convincing Bayern to sell will be a major challenge.
The German champions have no intention of negotiating his departure, and with Olise under contract until 2029, they hold all the leverage. Any deal would likely exceed €114 million (£100m).
Even so, Lynch maintains the winger remains firmly on FSG’s radar and believes the player may eventually be open to a Premier League return. For now, though, a move this summer appears highly unlikely.
