So, Tottenham Hotspur are genuinely starting to look like relegation candidates in the Premier League this season.
After Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham, it’s hard to see what interim head coach Igor Tudor can realistically change. Even more worrying is that very few players appear capable — or willing — to turn things around.
With just 10 games remaining, Spurs are now only four points clear of 18th place, and it’s unclear where the extra 8–10 points needed for safety will come from.

On the overall performance:
“It wasn’t good enough from us. Fulham were far better. We have to keep working.”
On Fulham’s opening goal and the referee’s decision not to award a foul:
“For me, it was a major refereeing error. There’s no consistency compared to last week. What happened today is unbelievable. Not giving that foul is madness. Even if it’s a slight push, it’s still a foul because Radu Dragusin loses his advantage, and from that situation they score. A push is always a foul — you have to give it. I didn’t like the refereeing today; it felt too biased toward the home side. Many decisions went their way, but especially the goal — for me, it’s crazy. He didn’t show the right understanding or feeling for the game.”
On Spurs’ poor first-half display:
“We were lacking in everything — with the ball and without it. We were always a step late. We didn’t create enough chances, and they were quicker and sharper. That’s where we are at the moment.”
On tactical changes between a back three and a back four:
“It’s not about tactics.”
When asked what the real issue was, he replied: “We’ll discuss that in the dressing room.”
On the team’s effort and intensity: “I’m not happy at all.”
On whether Spurs can still survive: “The situation is difficult, but we’ll keep working.”
On whether the second-half substitutes made a difference:
“There was some improvement, more energy. We pushed forward, but it still wasn’t enough.”
