£86m-rated talent has reaffirmed his intention to return to Tottenham, appearing set to turn down interest from Chelsea.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding loan spell in Germany, attracting attention from several top clubs. Chelsea have shown strong interest in Luka Vušković, although a potential deal could be complicated by his reported £86m valuation.
Liverpool have also been linked with the Croatian youngster, according to Sport Bild, making it increasingly difficult for Spurs to secure his long-term future—particularly if they face relegation.
Luka Vušković plans Tottenham return
Despite growing speculation, Vušković has indicated that he expects to rejoin Tottenham’s squad next season. While his comments may simply reflect the end of his current loan deal, they also suggest a willingness to be part of the club’s future.
“In football, you never know,” he said.
“It could happen next year, or in ten years. I don’t want to promise anyone anything.
“After this season, I’ll be a Tottenham player again. I have a contract there until 2030.”
Potential boost for Spurs
Following a difficult season, Tottenham could benefit significantly from the return of a highly rated young defender. Manager Roberto De Zerbi remains focused on securing the club’s Premier League status, but a successful end to the campaign could allow Spurs to rebuild ahead of next season.
