Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has maintained that the team still believes they can overturn their Champions League tie, despite suffering a 2–0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their quarter-final clash.
He acknowledged the quality of their opponents but stressed that the job isn’t done yet. According to him, there are still 90 minutes left to play, and the belief remains strong within the squad, the manager, and even the fans inside the stadium. He emphasized the need for the team to push forward and give everything in the second leg.
Szoboszlai also reflected on the performance, describing one of PSG’s goals as unfortunate, but admitted that overall, Liverpool didn’t do enough on the night. He added that the focus must now briefly shift to their upcoming match against Fulham, which he described as equally important, before turning attention back to the decisive second leg.
