Just three matches into his spell, Igor Tudor has already suffered three defeats. It began with a 4–1 loss to Arsenal, followed by a 2–1 defeat against Fulham, and most recently a 3–1 loss to Crystal Palace as the club’s poor home form continued.
Tottenham Hotspur now sit just one point above the relegation zone with nine games remaining, raising questions about whether the club could lose patience with Tudor sooner than expected.
It is rare for clubs to dismiss caretaker or interim managers, but Tottenham have done so before when they parted ways with Cristian Stellini in 2023. Similar calls could soon emerge regarding Tudor.
Juventus (2025)
Lazio 1–0 Juventus
Before taking charge at Tottenham, Tudor had already endured a difficult end to his time at Juventus, leaving after an eight-game winless run.
Initially appointed on an interim basis late in the previous season, he guided the club to Champions League qualification. However, the club was never fully convinced and only kept him due to a lack of alternatives.
His tenure did not last long. Consecutive Serie A defeats to Como and Lazio, along with a Champions League loss to Real Madrid, sealed his fate.
The 1–0 defeat to Lazio marked the end of a three-game losing run. Despite controlling 60% of possession, Juventus created only three clear chances against a team that had already lost three of their first seven matches.
Udinese (2019)
Udinese 0–4 Roma
Udinese dismissed Tudor after a heavy 4–0 home defeat to AS Roma.
This was his second spell at the club, having returned in March 2019. Seven months later, the defeat to Roma — who were reduced to ten men for much of the match — proved decisive.
Just days earlier, Udinese had also suffered a 7–1 thrashing against Atalanta.
Galatasaray (2017)
Yeni Malatyaspor 2–1 Galatasaray
Tudor took charge of Galatasaray in February 2017 after leaving Karabukspor. His side finished fourth that season, but his tenure ended in December.
A 2–1 away defeat to Yeni Malatyaspor — a newly promoted side that had gone five games without a win — proved to be the final blow.
Galatasaray were two goals down before halftime and managed only a late response, registering just three shots on target. The defeat saw them slip from first place, where they had once held an eight-point lead, to third in the table.
PAOK (2016)
Panthrakikos 2–1 PAOK
Tudor experienced his first managerial dismissal at PAOK FC in March 2016, less than a year after signing a three-year deal.
PAOK took the lead away to Panthrakikos but eventually lost 2–1 after conceding a late winner.
The club’s statement cited “derogatory comments regarding the team’s quality” among the reasons for his dismissal.
