Tottenham Hotspur’s defensive cornerstone Cristian Romero is expected to depart the club in the upcoming June transfer window, according to respected Argentinian journalist and South American insider Gastón Edul.
Posting on X, Edul disclosed that the 27-year-old World Cup winner is already the subject of serious interest from top clubs in La Liga, as well as from another major European league.
“Cristian ‘Cuti’ Romero has interest from Spain’s La Liga and another league. He already attracted interest during the last transfer window, with talks coming very close to a formal bid. He will leave Tottenham in the June transfer window,” Edul stated.

The prospect of a summer exit comes amid growing tension between Romero and the Tottenham hierarchy.
