Liverpool have entered the race alongside Manchester United to secure the signing of a Premier League star valued at £80 million.

Adam Wharton is widely expected to leave Crystal Palace at the end of the season, with the South London side holding out for at least £80 million for their standout midfielder.

Regarded as one of England’s most exciting young prospects, Wharton has attracted major interest, with Liverpool FC now joining the battle to secure his signature.

Liverpool are currently assessing their midfield options, especially with Curtis Jones potentially on the move. The academy graduate was linked with Inter Milan during the January transfer window, and the Serie A leaders may reignite their interest in the England international this summer.

There are also question marks surrounding Alexis Mac Allister, who has just two years left on his current contract. Despite playing a crucial role in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign last season, the Argentine World Cup winner has seen a noticeable dip in form, amid ongoing links to Real Madrid.
