The latest team news has emerged ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Spurs head into the fixture on the back of an impressive two-goal comeback draw against Manchester City and will be hoping to build on that momentum. However, as they look to salvage a frustrating league campaign, they face a Manchester United side enjoying an excellent run of form under interim manager Michael Carrick.
Since taking charge, Carrick has guided United to three consecutive victories, with wins over Manchester City, Arsenal and Fulham. Those results have strengthened their push for Champions League qualification, setting the stage for a compelling contest between two major sides.
Tottenham are expected to receive a boost in defence, with both first-choice centre-backs set to return after missing the previous match.
“Everyone, mostly, is okay,” Frank said. “Micky (van de Ven) trained today and is available for selection for Saturday, which is good. Djed (Spence) is getting closer — it will be touch and go, but there’s a good chance he’ll be ready.”
When asked about Cristian Romero’s availability, Frank added: “Yes, I do.” Romero is expected to start despite recent issues with the club related to his social media activity.
Frank also praised Carrick’s impact at Old Trafford, saying: “He’s had a great start. It feels like there’s been a bit of energy injected into the team. Some of the players look to be in a really good place.
“We know the threats they pose — Bryan Mbeumo, Amad, Cunha, and Bruno Fernandes. Bruno has been making this team tick for the last four or five years, which has been incredible. It’s a threat and a challenge, but one we’re looking forward to.”

Manchester United do not have major injury concerns, though a few players remain unavailable. Mason Mount and Mathijs De Ligt are among those still sidelined, despite making progress in their recoveries.
“Probably Mason [will be available] sooner,” Carrick said during his pre-match press conference. “Matta [De Ligt] is working his way back, taking good steps and improving. It’s a little too soon at the moment, but hopefully it won’t be too long.
“The boys have worked well this week. They’ve stayed grounded and aren’t getting carried away. There’s a big challenge ahead.”
