João Palhinha struck in the 82nd minute to hand Tottenham a long-awaited Premier League victory, edging Wolves 1-0 at Molineux — their first league win of 2026 — though they still sit in the relegation zone.
It had looked like another frustrating outing for Spurs after injuries forced both Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons off the pitch. But Roberto De Zerbi’s side found a late breakthrough when Palhinha reacted quickest at the back post, sliding in to convert a mishit effort from Richarlison and end a 16-game winless run.
The result briefly lifted Tottenham out of the bottom three, but a dramatic late goal from West Ham means the gap to safety remains at just two points, with four crucial matches still to play.
